The importance of understanding education’s role in providing opportunities for human richness should not be conceived of simply as a means for economic growth. Education must aim to improve quality of life from a more humane perspective. Universities, in particular, should be the locus where reflection on these ideas, values and principles, currently under siege, can take place. With the aim of materializing these convictions, in particular the articulation and coherence of thinking-saying-doing that must occur in a university, this articles explains the organization and running of the program of Transversal Ethics (Ética Transversal) at the Mexico City Campus of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. The article describes the process by which a group of academics, humanists all, implemented strategies to promote ethical reflection in the classroom from multi and interdisciplinary perspectives.
